I attended the Macbeth production at the Park Avenue Armory in Manhattan with several friends and it was amazing!!! You really felt like you were in the
play. First you met your clan, then you were led through darkness along a
narrow path set in dirt to your seats by
people in cloaks, holding torches. The set was massive and felt realistic - Stone Henge, with dirt through the middle, where all of the action took place -
seats were on both sides going up. This was a super creative and fun production and I hope more producers will take note to create such an immersive experience for the audience.
We had special preview tickets, which included a reception afterwards with other young patrons of the arts. After that we mingled with the cast of the show, including one of the main stars, Alex Kingston, who was amazing, and probably my favorite character in the production!
