Fondue on the Rue Mouffetard in Paris!!

Delicious tiny Fondue restaurant on the charming Rue Mouffard in Paris! You will feel like you are transported to Switzerland, cuckoo clocks, cow bells and all. The adorable old couple who run this place are so hospitable and lovely.

Order the cheese fondue with cured meats on the side, and a bottle of the white wine.  For dessert, it is a real treat to get the flaming apple pie "Tarte Tatin en Flambe". After the meal, you are presented with a small glass of Armagnac, with a prune in the bottom, which has been soaked 20 hours in the alcohol.

How About a French Rose Champagne!

Champagne Henriot makes a perfect rose! Not sweet, and not too dry - just perfect, with a beautiful pink color. Pair with mini blinis or baguette rounds topped with creme fraiche and smoked salmon. Mmmm!!!

Beautiful Roses in Paris!

These are the most beautiful roses I have ever seen! I was walking near the Madeleine church in Paris on a rainy winter day, on the Rue Saint-Honore heading towards Hermes, and I was struck by the beauty inside of this tiny shop.

Working in Paris Cafes

It is so great to sit in a Paris Cafe and do whatever work you need to do! Writing, Drawing, MBA class papers, etc.! If you go in the morning, order a Cafe Creme (coffee with frothy milk) with a Croissant, or for something more exciting, a Tartine (baguette bread with butter and jelly). Read a French newspaper or magazine to get into the vibe, or work on your creative projects. Great fun watching the street life and relaxing!

Sunday Outdoor Food Markets in Paris

Sundays are wonderful in Paris - all the stores are closed, and the streets are so quiet and peaceful to walk through. It is great for discovering your own thoughts, reflecting on the past week, and thinking about the upcoming week.

Japanese Noodles in Paris

Higuma is a tiny Japanese noodle shop in Paris, in the 1st district. It is fantastic for lunch! Don't mind the wait outside - it goes by quickly. Choose one of the menus, with a soup and the 5 gyzo dumplings that come along with it.

Visit the Louis Vuitton House in Paris!!

The old Louis Vuitton family home, or what is now the Louis Vuitton Special Orders Atelier, is so beautiful, and if you are in Paris, you can go to visit it! Anyone can sign up for the "Journees Particuliers", for a special tour through the house and workshops, or I have heard that you can try calling to get a tour at another time of the year if you are with an educational group.

We had a wonderful time with the director of the house, sipping champagne and having a private tour of the property! We visited the workshops, where artisans trained in traditional methods create all the custom orders for the Louis Vuitton brand.

The interior of the home is so beautiful - colorful, and magnificent in perfectly restored Art Nouveau style. There is a beautiful rose garden outside on the grounds - perfect for relaxing and admiring the beauty of the day!
