Why don't you make a brunch reservation (www.opentable.com of course!) and go out to the newest artistic film afterwards? Jane on Houston has an amazing selection of super-fantastic brunch items (poached eggs, french toast, even steak for a hungry guy friend!) along with fabulous brunch cocktails--if I drank Bloody Marys, this would be THE PLACE to order from. ;)

Check out the great selection of non-mainstream, foreign and artistic films at the Angelika theater. They have many show times and quite a few choices to select from on any day. It is a short walk from brunch.
